CURRENT ECONOMIC

AND TRANSPORT LOGISTICS NEWS

240 more BP stations in Poland added to fuel
card acceptance network!

Particular note are the
highway stations near
Szczecin, just before the
German border, allowing
you to refuel your fleet at
our advantageous weekly
price in Poland without
detouring from the highway.
This presents an excellent

opportunity to take
advantage of lower fuel
prices in Poland.
Direct Tir also offer you this
attractive option near
Cottbus (DE) and Görlitz (DE),
as well as near Ostrava (CZ),
each located just before the
border on the Polish side.

Truckers and farmers block roads for a third day across Romania over high prices of insurance, fuel, and fertilizers.

They also say that many
transport and agricultural
companies are on the verge of
bankruptcy. Police stopped
them on the main roads into
Bucharest, as the protesters
threatened to blockade the
city, in an effort to pressure the

Romanian government. State
officials say that they are
willing to talk to the protesters
but the security forces have
denied them access to the
capital because, they say, they
lack the authorisation to
protest.

BREXIT CASTS A CLOUD OVER BRITAIN'S ECONOMY, SAYS GOLDMAN SACHS

The UK’s departure from the
European Union has been a
costly business, leaving it with
lower growth and higher
inflation, according to
Goldman Sachs.
UK real GDP has fallen short
of economic growth in
comparable countries by about
5% since the referendum, the
US investment bank’s latest

report revealed.
Admittedly, not all of the UK’s
growth underperformance
could be attributed to Brexit,
the report pointed out, saying
the UK economy had also
taken a strong hit from the
COVID-19 pandemic and the
subsequent energy crisis
resulting from the Russia-
Ukraine war.

the extension of a further
